Want to attract and retain more readers to your business blog?
Then stop writing about you, your company, your products and services and how great you are. And start writing about how you can solve your readers’ problems. Provide solutions that work and you will attract and retain more readers to your blog which in turn will convert to customers for your products and services.
The problem with most business blogs is that they are all about the business, when they should be all about the customer.
Your customers don’t care that you have a shiny new product or service offering – they care what your new product can do for them. So tell them! Provide compelling information on what your product can do for your customer and how it matches your customer needs.
Here are 3 suggestions for you to try this week.
1. Show the product in action through high quality images and/or video you can incorporate on your blog/website.
2. Provide additional content - e.g. recipes on a foodie blog, free knitting patterns on a craft blog, a downloadable white paper or e-book on a business blog.
3. Ask your readers what they need to know. There are many tools available to help you create free online surveys that you can share via email, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or even embed into your website or blog to find out what your customers’ needs are. You can then write content to provide solutions.
