Have you tried Vine yet? Owned by twitter, it allows you to create really quick 6 second video stories and it is so so easy to use.
The videos go around in a loop, there is no need for editing. When recording you just keep your finger on your iphone screen (I think the app is only available on iphones as yet) and then remove it for it to instantly stop recording. A progressing little green line shows you the time already recorded and the amount of time left. You may think six seconds is nothing and yes, it is short but you’d be surprised how much you can fit into 6 seconds.
It’s really easy to share to twitter, facebook and your website or blog too.
I tried to create a video last night with my daughter when she was making pancakes but I kept touching the screen for it to start recording and removing the touch instantly and forgetting I had to keep my finger on it. I had better luck today when we were making a marble cake for the first time (though I should have used a bundt tin and then it would have cooked in the middle but it was fun!)
Here’s my Vine video and then I’ll explain how to embed your video:

How To Embed Your Vine Video Into Your Blog Post
You can get the embed code so the whole tweet is embedded and the video will play. Go to the tweet, clicking the ‘More’ button and then clicking Embed.
When embedding your vine videoost, copy the code provide and then click the ‘html’ part of the writing box, paste the code wherever you want the embedded tweet to go and return to ‘visual’ part of the writing box.
If you wish to embed it without the embedded tweet, use the code below, changing the pink part with the link to your own vine video.
<p><iframe src=“http://vine.co/v/b1XDh7Lb3gE” width=”380″ height=”380″ frameborder=”0″></iframe></p>
You can also use hashtags when captioning your vine video – the most popular seem to be #howto #sport #food #firstpost #fashion. I can see vine being so popular (and so effective) for recipes, decorators, how to videos and much more. Have you tried it yet?
