I don’t mind occasional ads in the sidebar or one at the end of a post. The ones that irritate me are those that come after the first one or two paragraphs and take up so much space – I think their presence must definitely add to a high bounce rate.

You could share it that way via your google+ plug in or go to google plus, create a compelling one-liner and paste the link. You can share it from a personal page or a business page. It means that google indexes your post pretty quickly. Yes, to build a community on google+, you ‘follow’ others by putting them in various circles. I’ll look for you there now

All good points there and definitely agree with irritating pop ups. Am not a big fan of ads either in blogs, especially if they’re in the middle of posts but know that a lot of the bigger blogs use them. It depends upon how good the content is as to whether I stick it out with those.

Hi lorna, great summary. On point 10. Do you have any tips on google +. . I am finding it so different from FB etc (to even locate otter circles / communities. Presumably you have to be linked up with other circles in order to share ? I have a google plus link that appears at end of each blog on my website. Is that the best way to share it (assuming that I can find circles / communities to share with !). As you can see – I am finding google + a bit challenging Una Ailis
